San Diego Startup Week will be in town next week, June 14-20. San Diego’s startup scene has two main pillars, it’s bio/life sciences and it’s general technology scenes. The tech side has grown up recently, and now puts on a celebration of all things startup every summer called San Diego Startup Week. From citywide parties to expert panels, this is the chance to show off all the hard work we put into starting scalable businesses.
Startup Week has been split up into four tracks of dozens of speakers, panels, and group discussions: Idea track, focusing on the early stages of building a business, Seed track, learning to plant an idea and grow it with focus and experimentation, and Growth track, honing in on taking a proven model and scaling it with effort. The fourth track is the Development Track, meant to identify and support local resources for technical co-founders to build fantastic products. And you can’t celebrate without parties, so the social events round out the week in a number of ways!
Some of the most popular events are going to be the big social events like the Launch Fest and Opening Ceremony with San Diego city officials and dozens of startups showcasing their brand. The Startup Crawl is a pinnacle during the week where four different routes take individuals through different startup offices in downtown San Diego to get an inside view on where the magic happens. All the treks end at EvoNexus for the after party. Demo Night is a chance to hear seven pitches from the hottest new startups in town and the Closing Ceremony will award leaders in the community.
The weeklong celebration builds on previous years learning and celebrating, drawing in speakers and attendees from around the world. Join us and come meet a new promising business!
