Coronado Neighborhood Information
The heart of Coronado, the Village includes most of South Island and includes the downtown area. City code requires that no two houses can be the same on any one street, so the diversity of architecture gives each street its own personality.
Country Club Estates
Located on the north side of the island and adjacent to Naval Air Station North Island , the estates were once the site of the Coronado Country Club and polo grounds, the Country Club area stretches from Alameda to Sixth Street. A beautiful residential area, it is Coronado’s only large area of homes all built by a single developer.
Situated just south of town on the Silver Strand, the Coronado Shores comprises ten 15-story high rise condominiums built in the early 1970s.
Five miles south of downtown, the Coronado Cays were also developed in the early 1970s. It is comprised of smaller villages that wind around inland waterways, each with its own pool and clubhouse. Just across the road is the beautiful Silver Strand National Park and beach.
Located down the Strand between The Shores and The Cays, Silver Strand Housing is home to many military families stationed at Naval Base Coronado while serving on active duty.
