Encinitas: Six Places To Discover

Restaurants, Bars, Stores and More to Visit in Encinitas, California

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” -Marcel Proust

This year, I have decided to discover Encinitas, California! I love this small town in San Diego, and want to give you some ideas for next time you’re searching for a new place to discover. Here are my favorite six places in Encinitas that I have visited over the last six weeks:

Encinitas California

Week 1: HomeGoods
Location: 284 N. El Camino Real
Encinitas, CA 92024
HomeGoods is a one-of-a-kind store that provides you with everything you need to make your house a home! Residents from Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, and other north county San Diego areas come to HomeGoods to find a perfect piece of furniture or decor for their home.
My fiancé & I recently bought tons of accent pillows, mirrors, and bath towels from HomeGoods to help stage our home for sale. It really made a huge impact on the home’s first impression, and the feedback has been great! If you’re looking for a good place to upgrade your home’s look, head to HomeGoods today!

Week 2: Union Kitchen & Tap
Location: 1108 South Coast Highway 101
Encinitas, CA 92024

A big reason a lot of people come to Encinitas is to enjoy the night life. There aren’t a lot of bars, but Union Kitchen & Tap, right on the 101 highway, is popular enough not to really need too much competition. People come from all over to enjoy sitting at the indoor/outdoor tables and drinking their favorite cocktail with friends. What do you love about Union Kitchen & Tap?! Never been there? Try it out soon!

Week 3: The Original Pancake House
Location: 160 S. Rancho Santa Fe Rd.
Encinitas, CA 92024

One of my favorite meals is breakfast, and one of the best places of all to eat breakfast in Encinitas is The Pancake House! Their “Dutch baby” tastes something like a pancake mixed with French toast, it’s SO delicious! They normally do not have a wait, except on Sunday mornings, but their customer service is top-notch so they get people in and out quickly (yet oh so satisfied!) ! ????????

Week 4: El Camino Bike Shop
Location: 121 N El Camino Real
Encinitas, CA 92024

This local bike shop in Encinitas is all about the community! They hold weekend workshops on how to fix and maintain your bicycle, and the entire staff is very knowledgable! Santa bought my son a bike from this store for Christmas this year, and he absolutely loves it! I couldn’t wait to head straight back there the day after Christmas to pick him out a matching helmet! If you’re looking for a bicycle for you or anyone in your family, make sure to stop by El Camino Bike Shop!

Encinitas California

Week 5: URBN Coal Fired Pizza
Location: 764 S. Coast Highway
Encinitas, CA 92024

This local pizzeria is by FAR my family’s favorite in all of Southern California! The salad is incredible, and the pizza is coal-fired so it is out of this world! They serve alcohol (wine and beer) and have big tables for the family, along with tables by the open windows where you can smell the fresh air as you eat! Our family went two nights in a row the first time we visited, and URBN said that they had fair workers that came every single day for two weeks straight! This place is addicting! If you haven’t been here, make a date to go VERY soon. This place is in my top 5 places to eat in San Diego!

Week 6: Paw Commons Pet Resort
Location: 280 N. El Camino Real
Encinitas, CA 92024

This pet resort is one of a kind! If you need to travel, or just want to pamper your dog, spoil him or her with a day at Paw Commons! From dog boarding to daycare and pet training, Paw Commons is a top notch facility with all of the highest quality amenities! They also have professional groomers if your furry friend just needs a trim! The trainers are incredible here and I highly recommend it!
